About Fehr-Graham & Associates
Fehr-Graham & Associates is an engineering and science consulting firm. Our professional team provides environmental, health and safety, civil engineering, land surveying, structural engineering, information technology, and additional consulting services for industrial clients, municipalities, and developers.
In 1973, Allen Fehr and Joseph Graham, both of whom were independent land surveyors and professional engineers, formed a new engineering partnership based in Freeport, IL
Throughout the years, our client base has been expanded so that our professional staff serves clients from four offices in Illinois and southern Wisconsin. We have continued to grow in order to serve the diverse needs of our clients.
In the 1980's, the Environmental Protection Agency began focusing on hazardous waste and waste disposal. Fehr-Graham & Associates responded with additional staff to provide our clients with expertise in environmental regulatory compliance, including compliance assistance in the areas of water, wastewater, air, and waste management.
Other new service areas that the firm has implemented include Health and Safety consulting, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), and Global Positioning System (GPS) surveying.
Fehr-Graham & Associates also provides a broad base of Information Technology (IT) Services, from network design to security and from firewall configuration to web site design.
Additional expansion of services has recently focused on the societal challenges to preserve natural resources. Fehr-Graham & Associates has assisted many municipalities and park districts to improve their space utilization through strategic land planning and funding assistance through grant writing. We also have designed and developed many bike paths and walking trails, as well as implemented storm water planning in both rural and urban settings through state-of-the-art technologies
Our firm is a Midwest leader in Brownfields assessments and remediation programs, along with assisting those cities, counties and private industrial clients to secure funding for their related TIF and TID economic development projects. Fehr-Graham & Associates has also served as consulting planners for several multi-megawatt wind turbine farms.
During these years, Fehr-Graham & Associates has continued to maintain its expertise in civil, municipal, and surveying services.
Our firm has grown to its current staffing of nearly 100 with a wide variety of technical and scientific backgrounds. Our professional staff keeps abreast of the latest technological and industry developments through additional training and semiars.
Our continuing ability to provide quality engineering services on many types of projects in a cost-efficient manner is our greatest asset.
